Potty Time

So we’ve been working with Joey whenever he shows his Grrrr face and is going #2 we always call it the potty, or when he follows Joe into the bath to watch/help flush the potty..So tonight he jumps down from the chair and says ”ahhh no no” an grabs his diaper in front and runs to the bathroom. Joe follows and pulls down his pants and diaper and he mounts the thrown. Diaper was wet however we  thought it was great he responded the way he did..

Jump Jump

Yep, a milestone was reached today as we witnessed Joey Jumping up and down. At 1st he’d jump up and fall to his butt and then lay down, however now he jumps up and lands on his feet now laughing.  So his feet only clear the floor an inch or two - it’s truly jumping with two feet!  I’ll try and get a video of it soon..

Poo-Poo

So over the last couple of weeks when Joey makes his “Grrrrrr face,” we have been telling him that he is going Poo-Poo… Then any time during the day Joe always tells him that he (Joe) has to go potty and Joey follows him into the bathroom. Tonight Joey was making his Grrrrrr face and Joe said “you are going Poo-Poo” so Joey ran into the bathroom to finish his business.  I followed him in there and he was patting the big toilet saying “poo-poo.”  Yep, that’s how we roll.

Left it open

I left the bathroom door open while Joe rubbed some Myoplex cream on my sore neck.  Next thing you know we’re hearing a clacking noise in the bathroom.  Joey climbed up from the toilet and into the sink to play with the decorative rocks in the corner dish.  He is quite the climber - and pretty fearless.

Sign Please, and Thank you

Today at lunch Joey signed “More, Please,” then when I got him more food, he signed and said “thank you.”

He now will sign and try and say the word too - the words aren’t always intelligible but we know what he means because he uses the sign with it.  We are so proud and continue on this adventure.
