Vikings

Sept. 21, 2008 - Joey went to his first football game at a friend’s house.  Here he is with Reier, enjoying the day, the toys, the company - they were both so cute in their Vikings jerseys.

Here comes trouble…(note the food and drinks on the table)

Doesn’t Reier do a good “innocent bystander” pose?

Mmm - the cups. They both took turns chewing on those.

This toy was a hit - the top goes around and if you stop it, it makes noise - very fun.

2 out of 5

Remember the Disney pop-up toy?  He’s been working on it since the last post of this one (Oct. 13) and now he can work both the heart shaped push button and the green “light switch” one in the middle.  It happened Sunday (26th) and I probably scared him with my celebration more than the little guy popping up scared him.

Halloween Party

Joey and I went to a Halloween party with his friends from our Mom & Baby class.  Here he is with Kiley clapping and having a great time together.

Here is most of the group. We had a few others come later.

It was a really good time. The kids are starting to interact a little bit more.

Really walking

Joey just decided that he would try the journey all the way across the living room and he made it!  We’ve been coaxing him to come to us up to this point but now, he just lets go and heads in whatever direction he wants to go and his little feet take him there.  He is growing up so fast!

The Horse, round 2

Remember the rocking horse story?  Now when we put Joey on the horse, he makes it rock.  He cannot get on by himself but he is working on his dismount. It’s a scary site - he just launches himself toward you expecting that you will catch him.

History

Photos from August 15, 2008

Luke, Addisen and Joey were goofing around on Addie’s bed. DSCN0615

Luke started acting like a big shot, pretending to push people around, and trying to be the boss.

But Joey soon showed him that he wasn’t going to take any of that mess in his own house! Luke was a good boy and was very careful not to hurt the baby.DSCN0609

1st Steps

Joey took his 1st steps, letting go of furniture, and walls, taking steps without assistance.

Climbing

This boy is a climber!  It started with the steps from the basement, progressed to the step-stool at the bathroom sink, then using the firetruck to get up on the couch, now he uses a toy basket and goes up and down and up and down.  Wears me out just watching him!  Here are a few videos of him showing his skill at climbing up onto the table - first the picnic table outside October 10th.

Then the kids’ table in the house on October 12, 2008.

another tooth

Joey got another tooth yesterday - it is the top right one.  He had a fever of 101.2 - that is the highest he has had so I was a little nervous.  He seems much better today but still a little warm.  He was grinding his little bottom teeth against the new top one last night - eeeeew!

Here is a picture of his Disney pop-up toy - he can work the heart shaped push button one on the end like a pro and is working on getting the turning ones to go (the purple one and the yellow star).

Conversation

While we were at the Dells with the family, Davis taught Joey this cute little conversational thing.  It sounds a little like throat clearing and he takes turns with you.  In this little video he also shows us the hand/mouth noise that he has been entertaining people with for a long time.  Watch when Joe says “Say ‘Hi’ to Davis,” Joey looks around at the TV because that’s where we showed him pictures of the family before we went on the vacation.
